DADA was against everything even against DADA.

DADA was radical in negating every form of tradition. It opposed the preliminary notion of art and it was also an antimilitarist movement. One could say that DADA was based on being against everything. But, and this is the difference to other movements, Dada was even against itself. Richard Huelsenbecks famous “Dada Manifesto” (1918) ends with: “To be against this manifesto is to be a Dadaist!” This was an important aspect of Dadaism right from the beginning.
