Microsoft features local artists in a 20 gigapixel panoramic image of Seattle.

Martin Krenn: Gregory Sholette

This video clip is about the making of a 20 gigapixel panoramic image of Seattle involving artists from the local art scene. Their role is to make small performances at several locations in the town which are then photographed from a rooftop on Capitol Hill. The final result is a 20 gigapixel panoramic image that is presented on Microsoft’s website gigapixelartzoom.com. Technically, when you visit their website you can zoom in on the image and thereby find the artists and when you click on them a short video-clip and other information about the artists pops up.
